So, depending on your budget you can opt for hair removal method accordingly. Some have less growth of hair, while some have more.

There are various methods of removing those unwanted strands of hair as under:

1) Shaving

Shaving is the most popular and common technique of hair removal as it can be done in less time with instant results. Though many latest alternate techniques are available, shaving is more preferred. It is quick and cheap, though hair grows back rapidly and is very coarse. But, hair when removed by this technique lasts for a day or maximum eight days. Soften the hair by washing the area with warm soapy water. Use light gentle strokes in direction of hair growth, to remove the hair. After this, apply skin moisturizer. There are different kinds of razors, electrical, disposable, with twin blades and moisturizing strips. Choose one that suits you the best. The disadvantages are cuts, irritations and razor burn.

2) Tweezing

Tweezing is also an inexpensive hair removal method. It includes tweezers' pairs to pluck one by one hair. As it has to grow from a new root, it would take more time than shaving. Tweezing lasts for a week or two. It lasts more than shaving. But at the same time, it is time consuming and painful, as you need to remove hair one after another, which is the drawback. Reddish skin and ingrown hairs occur due to tweezing.

3) Waxing

This method is like tweezing. It is a good technique to remove hairs from root in a bulk from legs, arms and bikini line especially. The re-growth of hair is comparatively slow and finer. It lasts almost for a month or two. But you should test yourself by doing a patch test, whether it is suitable to your skin or not. It gives the best results when waxing done regularly. In this technique, hot wax is made somewhat warm and spread properly on the hairy area for removing it. Then, it is pulled off from opposite side at a time. But, it makes the reddish skin for sometime where wax is applied. This irritation can be minimized by spreading talcum powder before waxing. The disadvantage is that hair must be grown to an extent for good results.

4) Laser Treatment

This is the latest technique for hair removal which is expensive, but lasts longer. Few sessions need to be conducted for good results. Black activating lotion is applied over the area, to enable hair follicle to absorb laser energy. In this technique, best results are got from people with thick body hair. One drawback is it creates slightly stinging sensation and costly compared to other techniques.

Thus, find the suitable method and enjoy smooth skin.
