You should avoid using heated hair appliances as much as possible since the heat doesn't do any good to your hair. You should also avoid towel drying to avoid split end problem. You can blot your hair and use broad tooth comb for combing your hair. You should also avoid using uncovered elastic bands since these often take out your hair when being removed. You may use coated or covered rubber bands.

You should strive to eat healthy and stay healthy, as you health definitely has effect on your hair. You must consume ample of vitamin E that is often good for the health of hair. If you have a dry scalp your hair will split quicker as there is not enough lubrication on the hair follicle. When outdoors, you must wear a hat or scarf to lessen sun damage.
